Monaco have approached Inter for Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin, claim Sky Sport Italia.

Guarin only extended his contract in March after a planned January exchange with Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic was abandoned at the last minute.

According to today’s report from Sky Sport Italia, AS Monaco directors have already started asking questions about Guarin’s situation.

They are thought to be lining up an offer and Inter are more than willing to listen, as his €2.8m per season wages are considered a little steep and the price-tag is set at €18m.

Monaco are flush with cash after selling Guarin’s Colombia teammate James Rodriguez to Real Madrid today for €85m.
