Former director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli has revealed that he tried to bring Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik to Milan. “He’s a great player”.
The Poland international’s deal at the San Paolo expires in June 2021 and reports in Italian media are suggesting that he might leave the Partenopei this summer.
The contract negotiation is at a standstill, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, but Mirabelli suggests that Napoli should try to work things out with the forward and reveals that he wanted the attacker at Milan.

“Milik was an old mission of mine, from the time at Inter,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli. “I know him very well and I would have liked to bring him to Milan.”
“He made a lot of money going to Napoli, with a very high value and everything became complicated.
“Milik is a great player. I hope he won’t leave Napoli, because I think he is a top striker and could play for a big club.”
