Milan chief Silvio Berlusconi is hoping that new arrival Mario Balotelli will behave off the pitch in the way that he does on it.
“Balotelli has become a phenomenon,” the former Prime Minister told Radio Lombardia when asked about the January signing from Manchester City.
“He’s a star centre-forward, someone who stops the traffic when he walks around the streets of Milan.
“He’s had a fortunate start,” he added of the international forward who has four goals in three Diavolo games so far.
“Let us hope that he continues in such a way and we hope he continues to comport himself in the right way.
“He’s irreproachable in training and in games, but, when he’s provoked outside, then he perhaps sometimes exaggerates.
“We’re staying very close to him with affection and we’re looking to make sure that he doesn’t exaggerate any more.”
