Milan-owned goalkeeper Gabriel admits he’d like to stay at Carpi next season after they were promoted to Serie A.
The 22-year-old shot-stopper was instrumental in their historic promotion, keeping 20 clean sheets in 34 Serie B games.
“I am very happy with this promotion we achieved, as we all worked so hard and the credit goes to everyone,” he told Mediaset Premium.

“I’m happy that the club said it wants to keep me. Leaving Milan was not an easy decision, but I needed to play.
“Coming here was the right choice and with Milan we’ll see what to do about my future. I want to continue this maturation process.
“Right now Milan have Diego Lopez and Christian Abbiati, so I don’t think this is the right moment to go back there.
“I need to play regularly and doing it at Carpi would be the ideal solution because I already know the club well.”
