The Frenchman is out of contract this summer and commented just last week on his discontent at the Rossoneri’s offer for renewal put forward.

Talking to the English media today, the 29-year-old indicated that a return to the Premier League may be on the cards.

“Milan offered me a contract for two years but I need to take my time and make the right decision,” explained Flamini to The Sun today.

“I’ve been in Italy for five years, I’ve had a great time and learnt a lot. But I miss England and I want to win the Premier League.

“It has a special place in my heart. I like the pace and the physicality of English football and I like that every game is very open.

“I want to win trophies. I am a competitor. My biggest regret was when I was with Arsenal and we lost the Champions League final against Barcelona.

“As well as the Premier League, I want to win the Champions League. When you are a competitor, what you want is to be successful. And to be successful, you want to win trophies.

“I’ve had some good offers but I want to take my time and decide what direction I will take.

“What’s important is to be in a team which has a good project, good ambitions and abilities.

“I miss the Premier League but other countries are possible, too. I don’t want to close any doors.”
