Milan and Fondazione Fiera are suddenly at each other's throats over expenses regarding the new stadium.
Last month the Rossoneri successfully won the bid to rent the area where the new stadium is intended to be built.
However Fondazione Fiera Milano, the limited liability company that gave them the all-clear to build the stadium in Portello, are now angered at some of the policy decisions that are being taken by the football club.

Last month the Rossoneri successfully won the bid to rent the area where the new stadium is intended to be built.
However Fondazione Fiera Milano, the limited liability company that gave them the all-clear to build the stadium in Portello, are now angered at some of the policy decisions that are being taken by the football club.
The company's President Benito Benedini, in an interview with Il Corriere della Sera, harshly criticised Milan for going back on their agreements, which included covering the expenses for reclaiming and clearing the land.
“AC Milan, with their letter of July 2, 2015, agreed to cover the full expense with no exceptions,” he said.
“This commitment, along with other caveats that the club is now retracting, were a fundamental condition for the bid.”
The prospect of a legal battle between Milan and Fondazione Fiera appears tangible.
“Defining this matter will be an issue for our legal departments,” Benedini continued.
“As for the Portello area [where the stadium is meant to be built], we'll reconsider this discussion after the summer, when we shall consult with the Executive Committee.”
Milan did not take to these comments lightly, and they released an extensive statement on their official website countering Benedini's claims.
“The club from via Aldo Rossi does not turn back on its commitments,” their statement reads.
“But Milan do have some legitimate requests for clarification, and they expect to see documents that so far have not been provided.
“It's worth remembering that so far we have been working under an expression of interest that was not legally binding.”
Milan go on to claim that they have not been able to undergo a proper examination of the terrain and so cannot commit to the full expenses for reclaiming and clearing it.
They also accuse Fondazione Fiera of time-wasting and claim substantial financial losses due to the waiting times.
“Milan hope that the tone of the discussion can return to being constructive and that the relationship can once again satisfy mutual interests,” their statement concludes.
