Milan coach Stefano Pioli cannot count on Junior Messias and Rade Krunic for the upcoming Serie A clash with Spezia, generating anxiety ahead of the decisive European derby with Inter.

The Rossoneri suffered a painful 2-0 loss to the Nerazzurri in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Wednesday, leaving them with a mountain to climb in the second leg on Tuesday next week.

A key moment in the defeat was the injury suffered by Ismael Bennacer, an issue that will require surgical intervention and has ended his season. Rafael Leao was also unavailable for the match but is working hard to be fit for the second leg.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Messias and Krunic have both been ruled out of Milan’s upcoming Serie A match with Spezia. The former is suffering from adductor muscle issues whilst the later is dealing with a right knee injury.

The pair will try to recover for the return leg against Inter on Tuesday, but the situation is still causing concern in the Rossoneri camp.
