Milan’s late comeback against Inter last week was no coincidence, as Vincenzo Montella’s men have gained 14 points in the final 15 minutes of games.

Last weekend’s Derby della Madonnina saw the Rossoneri come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2, with goals in the 83rd and 97th minutes.

While Inter Coach Stefano Pioli lamented his side's lack of concentration, a late show from Milan is far from an aberration.

Under Montella, the Diavolo have mad a habit of late goals, scoring 12 goals after the 75th minute throughout the season.

On six occasions, starting with Sampdoria away in Week 4, a late goal has turned a draw into a win, earning an extra 12 points.

Sassuolo, Palermo, Crotone, Bologna and Cagliari also saw Milan grab three points in the closing stages of the game, while Lazio and Inter both allowed them to grab a point.

Indeed, in 53 per cent of their Serie A games this season the Rossoneri have been drawing at half-time, but it appears they gain in strength as the game goes on.

That record of late goals has seen the Rossoneri earn 14 of their 58 points with goals after the 75th minute, something which could prove crucial in the Europa League race.

This weekend's opponents Empoli have the opposite problem, conceding 11 goals in the final 15 minutes of games and 23 in the final half hour.
