Eintracht Frankfurt director confirm ‘interest’ from Milan in Evan Ndicka, but insist there has been no formal offer yet.
The centre-back turns 23 next month and his contract with the Bundesliga club is due to expire in June 2023.
He was mentioned as a possible candidate for the Rossoneri defence over the last few days with reports in Italy and Germany.
Eintracht director Markus Krösche confirmed to reporters that they were “aware of Milan interest, but there has been no offer.”
Sky Sports Deutschland claim that the asking price is €20-25m, which is far too high for the Rossoneri, especially as he would not be first choice in their back four.
The proposal, if it were to come in, would be closer to €10-15m.
There is the possibility Milan could make an approach and then wait until January to try again, or even secure an agreement for him to join them as a free agent next summer.
Tottenham Hotspur and Antonio Conte have also been linked with Ndicka, who Bild claim has told Eintracht Frankfurt that he does not intend on signing a new contract.
Curiously, the more likely option for Milan is to take Japhet Tanganga on loan from Tottenham with an option to buy.
