Milan have reportedly agreed a deal with Empoli to sign their share in young attacker Riccardo Saponara.

The wide player, born in December 1991, is currently co-owned between Second Division Empoli and Serie A side Parma.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Diavolo will take over 50 per cent of his contract after agreeing to pay the Tuscan club around €4m.

Initial whispers claim that the San Siro giants could conclude the transfer at some stage next week, even if Saponara would be allowed to end the season with his current club.

The former Ravenna man, eight goals in Serie B this term so far, was understood to be on the transfer radars of Juventus, Inter and Liverpool.
