Milan have announced a partnership with Chinese club Guizhou Hengfeng FC, passing on their “know-how” to grow young talents.

They finished eighth in last year’s Chinese Super League.

CEO Marco Fassone was at the presentation of the partnership at Casa Milan this morning and noted it was “not part of the sponsorships, but has special characteristics that go beyond the typical relationship.

“It’s more of a strategic agreement of long-term planning aimed at maximising revenue. For Chinese clubs, the important thing is to form young Chinese players and find local talent rather than import stars.

“In this way, Milan represent know-how and can pass that on to help develop their youth academy with Milan methodologies.”
