Genoa have revealed the details of their deals with Milan, officially handing over Francesco Acerbi and Kevin Constant today.
“Genoa Cfc announce we have taken 50 per cent of Francesco Acerbi’s contract from Chievo Verona and consequently sold half his contract to AC Milan,” read a statement.
“Also finalised with AC Milan today was the transfer of Kevin Constant on loan with the Lombardy club having the option to buy at the end of the season.”
The bid for 25-year-old Constant had been something of a surprise, but the reasoning emerged later this evening.
He is seen as a replacement for Sulley Muntari, who today underwent surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. The injury will keep the Ghana international out for six months.
