Sinisa Mihajlovic admits his future at Fiorentina “doesn’t depend on me,” but the club backed their Coach “for the moment.”

Another 1-0 defeat to Chievo today increased the pressure on the tactician and there are reports he will be fired.

“It doesn’t depend on me,” said Mihajlovic. “I always try to stay relaxed and balanced, so I can do my work. You’d have to ask the club.

“I think the team did well today and we dominated for long periods, but were penalised by having to make three substitutions due to injuries. Then we conceded a strange goal.

“We just have to keep going and from the start of the season we’ve been playing well, apart from the first half against Juventus” data-scaytid=”5″>Juventus and Udinese” data-scaytid=”6″>Udinese. Today’s defeat was undeserved.”

Fiorentina spokesman Gianfranco Teotino spoke to the media after the final whistle and backed his Coach.

“We do not believe the tactician is responsible for this defeat. The club is, however, very disappointed by the behaviour of some players who ought to give more with their quality and wages.

“Aside from Stevan Jovetic, the club owners see a team with an inadequate attitude on the pitch. Our position in the table is not what we expected after 10 rounds and therefore we’ll see what we can do to improve performance.

“Today Mihajlovic is not up for debate. We all know the rules of the sport and have to consider all options.

“Future decisions? I don’t know, but for the moment the Coach is Mihajlovic.”
