Jeremy Menez reveals he feels “free” to enjoy football again in Pippo Inzaghi’s Milan.
The former PSG and Roma talent had lost his way in recent years and joined the Rossoneri as a free agent this summer, but hit the headlines with a sensational back-heel flick goal in the 5-4 victory over Parma.
He has discovered a new lease of life as a ‘False 9’ and netted three times in two Serie A games.
“This position allows me to move across the entire attacking front,” Menez told Forza Milan magazine.
“I feel free and can contribute more both in the box and in building the forward play. I often had that role with Carlo Ancelotti at Paris Saint-Germain.”
It remains to be seen whether Menez will be allowed to continue in that preferred role after Fernando Torres has recovered from an ankle injury.
