Inter Coach Walter Mazzarri says he will discuss his future at San Siro with President Erick Thohir in the summer.
Speaking at the pre-match Press conference for his side’s match with Verona, the former Napoli boss also believes his team have been playing well recently.
“My future? The club and I have agreed to sit down together in June,” Mazzarri said to the journalists gathered.
“Everything will be decided at the end of the season.
“It is one of the things up for discussion and it will be.
“I am pleased with the last few games, we have another away game and I hope we can continue what we have been doing.
“I think that if the team wins and every time that it does well it’s fair that those players play again.
“I want to take this principle forward.
“I’m very concentrated on what is happening at the moment, I don’t want to talk about things that will be analysed at the end of the season.
“It’s not for me to ask whether I can be a manager as well as a Coach, I haven’t discussed it and I am concentrating on the work I started last summer.”
The tactician then commented on Rodrigo Palacio, who has signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri, as well as other potential contract renewals.
“He is having a great season. If we look at the kilometres he has run he is the one who has run the most.
“He thinks firstly about the team, then about scoring.
“That is the principle that I’m looking for.
“When I first arrived I knew there were contracts potentially up for renewal, but I don’t have that much to do with it.
“There is a sporting director and a club.
Finally, Mazzarri assessed his team opponents on Sunday, Verona.
“They have enthusiasm, a hostile home crowd and it will be a difficult game.
“Their result against Juve recently says a lot about what they have to offer.
“We need to be alert both defensively and offensively.”
