Walter Mazzarri warns Torino that if they have the wrong attitude against Milan this evening, “then we really do have reason to worry.”

This fixture arrives just days after the death of Gigi Radice, who spent much of his playing career at Milan and was the last Coach to win a Scudetto at Torino in 1976.
Both teams will therefore wear black armbands and there is a minute’s silence before kick-off.

“A great Coach who wrote important pages in the history of Toro. He was an innovator who changed the way people looked at coaching. For the whole world of football, it’s a very sad day,” said Mazzarri in his Press conference.
Milan are in the top four, but a victory at San Siro would put the Granata within one point of the Rossoneri and Lazio.
“Gennaro Gattuso is doing a fine job and the figures back that up, as the only home match they lost was against Juventus. That is why I say we need a fantastic performance to get a result here.
“It’s true the Rossoneri have a lot of injuries, but they can still count on players of the calibre of Suso, Gonzalo Higuain, Patrick Cutrone and Franck Kessie. That alone should tell you how strong they are.”
Torino played in the Coppa Italia midweek, scraping past Serie C outfit Sudtirol 2-0.
“I did get very angry after that, but I saw the team train well over the last couple of days. I have trouble trusting them, though, because every time I think we have the right approach, we then get it wrong. After beating Sampdoria, we thought that we’d reached the right level of maturity, then lost to Parma.
“If my players can’t find the motivation to be fully concentrated against Milan at San Siro, then we really do have reason to worry.
“If we play well, it can give us a real confidence boost and get us even more fired up going into the derby with Juventus. The important thing right now is not to look at the table, but to focus on correcting our errors and make more of our scoring opportunities.”
Lorenzo De Silvestri is expected to start rather than Chelsea-owned Ola Aina.
“I am convinced Aina will become a great player, as he has enormous potential. He did well coming on against Genoa, but then the other day he was a substitute and seemed distracted. I’d like to see more consistency from him and all the players.”
