Walter Mazzarri hailed “an important victory for our Europa League campaign” after Inter won 1-0 away to Dnipro.
Danilo D’Ambrosio got the decisive goal after Ruslan Rotan was sent off for the Ukrainians.
“We played a great game,” the Coach told reporters in Kiev.
“We barely allowed a tough team any chances. I can say that I am happy, though towards the end we should’ve paid more attention.
“My team was a constant danger for Dnipro and in the second half we could’ve scored even more to finish off the game.
“We knew they would start at full speed and not given us any space, but we prepared for this match in a certain way and had some lads making their European debuts.
“It’s an important victory for our Europa League campaign and it won’t be easy for anyone to win here. I was particularly pleased that we did so well after making several changes, as it proves we have a good squad.”
