Emotions were also running high yesterday when the entire squad visited Superga on the anniversary of the plane crash that killed the Grande Torino side in 1949.
“It was a day that gave me strength. I had already been to Superga twice by myself, but yesterday, with the speech by the priest and the affection of the fans, it really touched me a great deal. And I am rarely moved, but I had goosebumps.
“I want my team to always give something more on the field and to build on those concepts. Any opponent will have to struggle in order to beat us.
“Toro have to step on to the pitch and be like Toro.”
