Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri thinks Thursday night's Europa League clash with Villarreal will be fascinating.

More than 50,000 fans are expected to cram into the San Paolo for the first leg of an eagerly anticipated knock-out clash.

"It's a game of the highest level. For them it's the game of the year, so the match will be even more interesting," Mazzarri told Radio Marte.

"It's another step forward and we are curious to know what will happen. It's great to see this enthusiasm and we have transmitted it to our fans.

"The San Paolo will be full. We find ourselves facing new situations. We need to be mature and to understand that if we don't manage to express our play, we must limit the damage. We mustn't self-harm.

"Villarreal have more experience than us. They have played in the Champions League. We must stop them. We are playing one of the possible candidates for success in the Final. They play with the ball on the floor, it's a little like my way of thinking about football.

"This duel is beautiful and fascinating," he concluded.
