Stefano Mauri has reportedly arrived at Lazio’s Formello training ground to discuss a return to the club with sporting director Igli Tare.

Stefano Mauri has reportedly arrived at Lazio’s Formello training ground to discuss a return to the club with sporting director Igli Tare.
The 35-year-old was the Aquile’s captain last season, but was released earlier in the summer with allegations over the ongoing calcioscommesse match-fixing scandal believed to be the reason.
However, Mauri was cleared of all wrongdoing earlier this week and now appears close to a return to the capital outfit, where he has played for the last 10 seasons.
LaLazioSiamoNoi have reported that the Italy international arrived at Formello earlier today and will speak with Tare and Lazio President Claudio Lotito.
However, Mauri’s lawyer Matteo Melandri revealed yesterday that there has been interest for the attacking midfielder from other Serie A clubs, Turkish sides and the Middle East.
