“Inter aim to achieve the maximum result in every objective so to say we are not challenging for the Scudetto would be false,” Marotta told RAI Sport.
Coach Conte was given a two-match Serie A ban for his clash with referee Fabio Maresca in the tunnel following the 0-0 draw with Udinese.
As this is the Coppa Italia, the touchline ban does not apply to tonight’s game.
“These are situations that happen in the world of football. The tension in a match situation can lead to some misunderstandings.
“We evaluated what happened and decided not to appeal.”
