Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has announced that Paul Pogba has signed a new contract with the club.
Marotta appeared at the club’s shareholders’ meeting to confirm that the Frenchman has signed a deal which will see him remain in Turin until 2019, as reports had suggested.
“I’ll give you a preview of the news: This morning we signed Pogba’s new contract, he’ll stay with Juventus until 2019.”
The announcement of the two-year extension was greeted with applause by shareholders.
The 21-year-old international had been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as a return to the English Premier League, but agent Mino Raiola declared this morning the former Manchester United man was happy to stay in Turin.
The club then followed this up with the news through their official Twitter account and the release of the below video.
