Fabio Maresca will lead the officiating team in the upcoming Supercoppa Italiana final between rivals Milan and Inter.
The 41-year-old Napoli born referee has never overseen a major cup final before but is an experienced Serie A official. Last season, Maresca officiated 16 league matches, giving out 75 yellow cards, three second yellow cards, two red cards and six penalties.

Milan are the second most successful team in Supercoppa Italiana history, winning the title seven times in the past. Their most recent victory came in 2016, when they beat Juventus on penalties.
Inter have won the Supercoppa Italiana six times before, picking up the trophy last season following a dramatic 2-1 win over the Bianconeri.
The two teams played a Derby della Madonnina in the final back in 2011, when the Rossoneri edged out a 2-1 win.
