Claudio Marchisio will go all out to win the Europa League, but admits Juventus “haven’t won the Champions League in far too long.”

The midfielder came up through the youth ranks and spoke to fans in Tokyo via a video chat.

“Antonio Conte has brought back the winning mentality that had been lacking for a few years. As everyone knows, we work hard and that is down to our Coach.

“It is that work ethic that allowed us to achieve these results over the last three seasons.”

The Juventus Stadium in Turin has also received a great deal of praise and the Europa League Final will be held there in May.

“As a fan I experienced the Stadio Delle Alpi and as a player the Stadio Olimpico. Above all in the former there wasn’t that same connection between the team and crowd that there is now.

“You could tell right from the first game against Parma how intense that rapport was. The fans really are our 12th man.

“Can we will the Europa League? It is a competition we care about a great deal and the Final will be in our home stadium, so we hope to win the trophy here in Turin.

“Of course, the dream is the Champions League. This club hasn’t won it in far too long. We’ll try to make up for it next year.”

Juventus last lifted the Champions League in Rome, beating Ajax on May 22 1996.
