Rolando Maran felt Chievo gave Fiorentina a real run for their money in tonight’s draw, but wouldn’t discuss his future.
The Flying Donkeys consolidated their solid campaign with a 0-0 stalemate, though both sides hit the woodwork and goal-line technology was used on a last-gasp Antonio Floro Flores chance.
“We did well today and the team responded to a Fiorentina side that is very difficult to play against,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We did well today and the team responded to a Fiorentina side that is very difficult to play against,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“We finished the match on a high and went very close to scoring at the end. I think this final portion of the season is proving to be very positive.
“On the last chance I was practically on the pitch ready to celebrate!”
Maran has been linked to a step up for next season, perhaps even to Fiorentina if Paulo Sousa walks away. Is he ready for a big club?
“Others have to judge that, I only have to focus on doing well. Aside from the clubs, football is played on the turf and that is where I have to do my work.
“At Chievo I have been fortunate enough to work with great lads and they make it all easier. The results are the fruits of our labour in training during the week and everyone wants to contribute.”
