“Everyone worked well during the week and are ready to give their all. The players will prove themselves on the pitch.”
While Chievo are fresh from a 2-0 win in Sardinia, capping a five-game unbeaten run with nine points, the more prestigious opponents are struggling.
Even with Roberto Mancini replacing Walter Mazzarri, Inter have scraped two points from the last five rounds, including back-to-back defeats.
“The Nerazzurri can’t possibly stay in that position, but I don’t know if it’s an accurate reflection of their campaign,” noted Maran.
“It’s weird to see them in the bottom half of the table, but we just have to focus on improving our own status. We are all working together to achieve safety and with this spirit we can certainly get there.”
