Parma President Giampietro Manenti insists the game against Genoa will take place as the player's transport is allegedly paid for.
On from his insistence that next Sunday's game against Il Grifone would not be cancelled, the Ducali owner has denied allegations that it would be necessary for the players to sort out their own travel arrangements for the Week 25 fixture.
“If everything works out, I'll go to Genoa myself and the team won't pay a thing,” he declared at Radio Parma.
“This morning we settled everything, and we paid for the transfer.
“As for the credit authorities, we'll show that Parma is solvent and can still go forward.”
But Manenti is losing credibility with his own team, as Parma player Massimo Gobbi railed against him today.
“The President just keeps deferring meetings,” he said, in an interview with AssoCalciatori.it.
“He isn't giving us any guarantees.”
