Verona Coach Andrea Mandorlini enjoyed “revenge” over Napoli and assured Luca Toni “can play at least another year.”
Toni turns 38 in May, but he moved quicker than the Partenopei defenders to bag a brace in the 2-0 result.
“We put in a good performance and this is a fundamental result for us,” Mandorlini told Sky Sport Italia.
“In the first half-hour we were so organised, then in attack we have that phenomenon called Luca Toni.

“I think he can play at least another year. He’ll decide without pressure, but I can say he’s a great champion and a great man. He’s a reference point for everyone.”
Verona had lost 6-2 at the San Paolo earlier this season and Mandorlini notes that result was not forgotten.
“We conceded six last time against Napoli, but we went back home and said nothing, waiting for the right moment to take our revenge. Tonight we did it.
“A side like ours against a big club has to play in a very aggressive manner.”
