“We go to the Olimpico in order to face Roma with humility and respect, as always,” Mandorlini told the Corriere dello Sport.
“I hoped for a good start to the season, but even I didn’t expect to beat Palermo in the Coppa Italia and Milan in Serie A.
“Are Roma scary? A great deal! They changed a lot and reinforced even more with Adem Ljajic and Kevin Strootman. Plus they have the only real world class Italian player left, Francesco Totti.”
Hellas Verona are in their first Serie A campaign for 12 years, but have impressed and can make an impact.
“We want to secure safety as quickly as possible. We must never lose our compass in a world that always reserves ugly surprises. The club is young too and I also have to become more experienced in the top flight.”
