Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says Carlos Tevez “will certainly do well at Juventus.”
This evening there are reports in Italy, England and Argentina that a deal has been struck with City for the striker worth £10m.
He is thought to be already travelling towards Italy so that he can undergo a medical in Turin on Wednesday and sign the three-year contract worth €5.5m per season.
“He is an extraordinary player, capable, with great technique and talent,” his former manager Mancini told TuttoJuve.com.
“He will certainly do well at Juventus. I can’t wait to see him in action in Italy.”
The pair famously clashed at Manchester City when Tevez refused to come off the bench against Bayern Munich in a September 2011 Champions League match.
The Argentine was repeatedly fined for breach of contract, which included flying back home without permission.
In April 2013 Tevez was sentenced to 250 hours community service, a six-month driving ban and a fine for driving while disqualified and without insurance.
