Roberto Mancini has no regrets making Mauro Icardi Inter’s captain in 2015 and is impressed with Milan, ‘especially their two January signings’.
Icardi was handed Inter’s captaincy by Mancini prior to being stripped of it earlier in February, while Milan have yet to lose a game with Krzysztof Piatek and Lucas Paqueta on the field.
“Gattuso’s Milan? They’re a team with some great players, especially their two January signings,” continued the Italy CT to Tiki Taka.

“He’s building a good team and it takes time. Gattuso knows football well. I don’t know if he wanted to be a Coach when he was a player, but he knows football very well.
“Donnarumma? He’s a young lad who’s still growing, despite his many appearances in Serie A.
“He’s always done well for the national team, but we have no problems with goalkeepers. Besides him there’s also Sirigu, Perin and Meret.
“Icardi? I’ve never had any problems with him. For me he was a crucial player, who could’ve been important for Inter’s history.
“I needed to choose a captain and I chose him.”
