Roberto Mancini singles out Assane Gnoukouri as Inter's future 'great player', whilst accusing young footballers of being 'spoilt'.

The Coach gave an interview to La Repubblica in which he discussed his younger players, and he made his preference for the Ivorian clear.

“He can turn into a great player,” Mancini has said. “I saw him training with the first team for the first time in November, when I had only just arrived. Back then I didn't like him.

“He can turn into a great player,” Mancini has said. “I saw him training with the first team for the first time in November, when I had only just arrived. Back then I didn't like him.

“I saw him again in Viareggio, where he played the perfect game, and I brought him back with us. I liked him and I let him debut in the first team.”

Still, the 50-year-old sounded slightly disillusioned about young players in general.

“Young footballers are like children nowadays. They're given everything right away. Maybe it's our fault for spoiling them

“For us, being given a real leather football on Christmas was wonderful.

“Being a footballer is the best job in the world. You're doing what every child dreams of doing and you're getting paid, too. You can't get grumpy.”
