A 26-year-old Atalanta fan, Riccardo Claris, was stabbed to death last night after clashes between groups of La Dea and Inter supporters in Bergamo.
A 26-year-old Atalanta supporter was killed close to his home in Bergamo last night after clashes between groups of Inter and Atalanta supporters.
Repubblica and other Italian media report that the two groups of fans had a heated discussion in a bar in the Borgo Santa Caterina neighbourhood, which continued in the streets near the Atalanta stadium.

According to the report, Riccardo Claris was stabbed in the back by a 19-year-old Inter fan, Jacopo De Simone, who voluntarily surrendered to authorities and is currently being questioned by the Italian Police.
Apparently, the victim wanted to defend his brother, so he was involved in a dispute with 10 others.
Citizens living in the area said they were awakened by shouts at around 1 am last night. Some said people in the streets were heard shouting: ‘He has a knife.’
Emergency service vehicles rushed to the spot, but could not save Claris’ life. The knife was found a few meters away from the victim’s body.
