Lucas Leiva has arrived in Rome to complete his €5.5m transfer to Lazio from Liverpool. “I’m happy to be here. Forza Lazio!”
The Brazilian touched down this evening at Fiumicino Airport and was greeted by a group of celebrating fans.
He had a Lazio scarf around his neck and the 30-year-old will undergo a medical at the Paideia clinic on Monday morning at 08.00 local time.
“I am happy to be here,” he told reporters. “I haven’t yet spoken to Simone Inzaghi.
“Forza Lazio!”

Lucas Leiva is the replacement for Lucas Biglia, who today completed his €17m plus €3m bonuses move to Milan.
