Alessandro Lucarelli doesn’t “even want to think about” the possibility of Parma going into Serie D.
The club was declared bankrupt in March and five auctions went by without a single formal bid.

“The final sprint finish is off and running, so we just have to see how it ends,” captain Lucarelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Going down into the amateur league would mean cancelling out the club and its entire youth academy too.
“This is a possibility I don’t even want to think about.”
We are expected to find out the name of the new Parma owner by June 19.
