The publication today ran a story on how Lotito was facing disciplinary action for appearing to imply some sort of irregularity during Juventus’ 2-0 win against Inter before the coronavirus lockdown.

“Dr. Claudio Lotito has taken note of the article published in today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, authored by Sebastiano Vernazza, aimed at defaming and discrediting him,” read an official statement.
“Freedom of information does not permit violating a person’s right to their image. When used as a means to ridicule or hurt someone, it must be punished.
“Dr. Lotito has therefore instructed his lawyers to respond in all courts of law (civil and criminal), to obtain the protection that the Constitution guarantees his character.”
