Fernando Llorente says he will be out for ‘revenge’ when Napoli face Liverpool in the Champions League this evening.
Llorente knows Liverpool well from his time in English football with Swansea and Tottenham Hotspur, but the striker made it clear Carlo Ancelotti did not need his expertise.
“Ancelotti knows our opponents very well and he’s studied them better than all of us,” he said at a Press conference.
“We need to have a perfect match, play a great game and keep errors to a minimum.

“Ancelotti knows our opponents very well and he’s studied them better than all of us,” he said at a Press conference.
“We need to have a perfect match, play a great game and keep errors to a minimum.
“They’re very strong, especially when they win the ball back, because they have a lot of quality.
“If you make a mistake against teams as strong as Liverpool, they make you pay.
“The warmth of the fans here is crazy. They make you feel it as soon as you arrive: it’s wonderful. Now I can’t wait to score goals so I can dedicate them to the fans.
“I’d always like to help the team. It would be important, improving game after game because I still lots to improve on.”
The 34-year-old’s last appearance against the Reds was the Champions League Final in June, when his Tottenham side lost 2-0.
“Last season’s Final was very painful for me. I want ‘revenge’ and I want Napoli to show that they’re on par with a very good team like Liverpool.
“Of course [we can reach the Final], even if it’ll be difficult. We’re thinking game by game: after Liverpool we’ll have to face two other teams.
“It’s never easy and if you waste a game, the group becomes complicated.”
