According to Italian papers, Liverpool are lining up a €10m offer for Roma striker Adem Ljajic.
This has been his first season with the Giallorossi after he left Fiorentina over the summer for €11m plus performance-related bonuses.
He put together five goals in 21 games, but overall the performances have disappointed and the Serbian international is not part of Coach Rudi Garcia’s ideal starting XI.
According to Il Tempo newspaper, Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the situation and are prepared to offer €10m – approximately £8.5m – for the 21-year-old.
He currently has a contract with the Giallorossi until June 2017.
Ljajic is most famous for an altercation that saw Delio Rossi fired as Coach of Fiorentina after attacking the player in the dugout following a substitution.
He was also barred from the Serbia squad by then-tactician Sinisa Mihajlovic for refusing to sing the national anthem.
