The French season usually begins in August, so they would simply terminate the 2019-20 campaign here and begin 2020-21.

The most recent match played before the lockdown was on March 8 and Paris Saint-Germain are 12 points clear of Olympique Marseille, despite having a game in hand.

Stade Rennais and Lille follow in third and fourth, but giants like Olympique Lyonnais are only in seventh place.

Meetings will be held next month to decide how to assign the title, European and relegation places.
