“As long as you play regularly and feel good, it’s something that will always be in your thoughts. I do think about it all the time, but I am also fully aware of what I need and that is more than just performances.
“Other factors will also be decisive if I am to get back into the Brazil squad. Now I have to focus purely on getting a good campaign with Lazio, then if I have the opportunity, I’ll do everything to honour the Brazil shirt.”
