Relegation-threatened Lecce have confirmed that they have sold Djamel Mesbah to Italian champions Milan.
The Giallorossi have posted a brief note on their website, which also revealed that Rodney Strasser will return to San Siro this month after a loan stint at the Via Del Mare.
The 27-year-old Mesbah is an Algerian international in possession of a French passport who can also play in midfield.
Mesbah joined Lecce in 2009 after a loan spell in Italy with little Avellino.
It’s believed that the player has signed a contract until June 2015 – but Milan have yet to confirm any details of the switch.
Lecce have also bought a 50 per cent share in Milan attacker David Speziale. The 18-year-old will move to the Giallorossi in the summer.
