Andrea Lazzari has claimed that Fiorentina will look to build on their weekend draw with Inter by taking a positive result away to Roma in midweek.
Battling the threat of relegation, La Viola earned a credible 0-0 result on Sunday lunchtime at home to the Nerazzurri, that could have been a win but for Adem Ljajic’s missed penalty.
Even so, the point secured was enough to extend the team’s unbeaten run to three games, one that midfielder Lazzari believes can be extended to a season-high four matches on Wednesday, with a result in Week 33’s rearranged fixture at Roma.
“We will encounter a Roma that is very angry about losing to Juve, we will need to have more effort and attention than the game with Inter,” began the former Cagliari man on Violachannel.
“However, the test yesterday has made us confident, we go to the Olimpico to take some points.
“Against Inter we played a good game in terms of performance and personality, unfortunately we collected less than we deserved, but we growing and we are charged for this crucial season finale.”
