Lazio – even without the injured Miroslav Klose – are a side to be feared, says Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri.

The two teams meet at the San Paolo on Saturday, but the capital outfit will arrive without their German striker.

“Nothing changes without Klose,” the Azzurri man noted. “They’ll still have important players and we’ll be missing a few.

“We’re worried about the strength of Lazio. We’ll be playing against the League leaders, the most in-form side, but it won’t be a decisive game.”

Lazio, joint top with Udinese, will step on to the pitch with the best away record in the land after picking up 13 points from the 15 on offer so far.

“It’ll be a dangerous game,” added the former Sampdoria boss. “Lazio have done really well on their travels seeing as they’ve won their last four away from home.”

It’s a massive month for Napoli as they look to get themselves back in the title hunt and qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League – they play Manchester City on Tuesday.

“We’re only thinking about Lazio,” added Mazzarri. “They are a mature side and we have to be alert when they are in possession.

“Lazio boss Edy Reja is also a serious professional. Every time he comes here he does well.”
