The investigation was started in late October 2020 when several players tested positive with UEFA for the Champions League games, but not for Serie A.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Federal Prosecutor has demanded a €200,000 fine for the club without a points deduction.

The consequences may be more substantial for their President Claudio Lotito, who could be deferred for 13 months and ten days.

He would accumulate more than a year of suspension in the last ten years and, therefore, be excluded from any role within the Federation and banned from its council meetings.

The Federal Prosecutor has also requested a 16-month ban for Lazio’s medics Ivo Pulcini and Fabio Rodia.

Torino were not admitted as an interested party as requested by the Granata who had played against the Lazio on November 1.

Ciro Immobile and Lucas Leiva came off the bench in the second half at the Stadio Grande Torino, but had tested positive for COVID prior to their Champions League game against Club Brugge earlier that week and missed the following trip to Zenit St.Petersburg for the same reason.
