Multiple sources report that Lazio finally have a new signing ready, striking a deal with Midtjylland for winger Gustav Isaksen for €12m including bonuses.
The Aquile qualified for the Champions League and sold Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to the Saudi Pro League, but have still only signed one player this summer.
That could be about to change, with suggestions an agreement has been reached with Midtjylland for right-sided attacking forward Isaksen.
He had also been linked with Milan, but Lazio seem to have closed in on €10m plus €2m in bonuses, securing him to a five-year contract worth €1.5m per season.
According to Il Messaggero, the two clubs are exchanging documents this afternoon.
The Dane scored 22 goals and provided nine assists in 45 competitive games last season and turned 22 in April.
He also has seven goals in 19 caps for Denmark at Under-21 level.
The Biancocelesti are also stepping up attempts to sign free agent Daichi Kamada with the help of sponsors Mizuno, who would cover some of his salary and commission.
Finally, they need to be confirmed before Lazio play last friendly vs Villa tomorrow, even if they won’t turn up for that match.
