Kalidou Koulibaly hopes Napoli can go all the way in the Europa League after their Champions League exit to an “avoidable” Liverpool goal.
The Partenopei would go through to the Round of 16 as long as they didn’t lose 1-0, but capitulated by that result at Anfield.
“It was a very important game, we knew Liverpool had to win and we came here with the same ideas we had to beat them at home, but struggled a little more,” Koulibaly told Sky Sport Italia.

“We conceded this avoidable goal and couldn’t get back into it. There were some nerves, especially after the goal, but we also had confidence that we had the squad to get a result here and came very close, especially at the end.
“We had hoped to be qualified for the next round, but now we’ll give our all in the Europa League.
“We’ll do everything to bring the Europa League home and hope to go all the way. If we keep that self-believe, we can win something important.”
