Houssine Kharja could remain at Genoa despite being linked with a variety of clubs this January.
The attacking midfielder was expected to move on amid interest from sides such as Bari, Fiorentina and Napoli.
He even had a telephone conversation with Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri which suggested a deal was on.
However, Kharja is still at Marassi and his agent has admitted that he could stay for the remainder of the campaign.

"Nothing surprises me anymore," stated Beppe Galli. "At times the transfer market presents situations which are undecipherable.
"In June he wasn't available for transfer, now it seems as if he is, but he could be off the market next week…
"At the moment there is nothing new to report and we're waiting for any news from the club. But, right now, Kharja is very much a Genoa player."
