Juventus’ tie at Bayern Munich this evening will confirm whether they are ready to win the Champions League, says Alessio Tacchinardi.

The Old Lady will face the German giants in the first leg of their last eight European Cup encounter at the Allianz Arena.

“It will be an important test to measure Juve’s European ambitions this season,” the former Bianconero midfielder told Radio Sportiva.

“The Germans are a side who are even one step above Real Madrid and we can expect a hard-fought encounter.

“It will be a very intense and physical game, but Juventus have a 50 per cent chance of qualifying for the next round.”

The Turin outfit started the Champions League campaign with three draws, but they’ve won every match since.

“The win over Chelsea was important, it gave them greater knowledge of the competition,” Tacchinardi added.
