Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger describes Juventus as “the Bayern Munich of Italy”.
The Bianconeri won the Scudetto for the fifth season in a row this term, while Bayern have won four Bundesliga titles on the bounce.
“It was a good year, but unfortunately we didn’t reach second place,” Rüdiger lamented in an interview with derwesten.
“Initially I was criticised, just like for the national team, but I answered on the pitch.

“Serie A has lost some of its emotion in recent years, Juventus have become sort of like the Bayern Munich of Italy, it’s hard to keep up with them.
“It’s very tactical in Italy, they think about defending. For example, when Bologna come to play Roma, they defend, something which doesn’t happen in the Bundesliga.”
