Juventus have paid tribute to Sinisa Mihajlovic through their ex-President Andrea Agnelli who wrote: ‘Not just free kicks now… a true free spirit.’
The Bianconeri attracted criticism from many of their fans on Friday after Sinisa Mihajlovic’s family confirmed his death.
While most Serie A clubs and players paid their respect to the 53-year-old, Juventus didn’t write a word on their social media. This is something that already happened in the past when other people in the world of football, not strictly related to Juventus, died.
The Bianconeri eventually did something on Twitter by retweeting a message from Agnelli who, however, is no longer their President.
The 47-year-old resigned with the club’s board members on November 28 and has been recommended for trial along with other directors and the club for alleged financial irregularities.
Mihajlovic was a close friend of Juventus’ vice president Pavel Nedved and had been linked with the job at the Allianz Stadium several times in the past.
